Barb Purschke, a talented local artist, will share many of her paintings of buildings, natural geology, and other subjects from Franklin Co. that capture an essence of area history. Her painting mission is one that many area residents can appreciate, as they recognize places and subjects which no longer exist.
Barb Purschke is a local Franklin Co. artist. She holds a degree in Art Education and has taught numerous art-related classes. Her life-long interest in the arts, particularly painting, started as a child as she painted what she saw on her family’s two farms in the Villa Ridge-Labadie area and around Neier where her grandparents lived. Her talent grew over the years, and she has painted many local subjects and scenes across the county. Barb has preserved, through paintings, many historical buildings, natural geology, and other subjects in Franklin Co. before they were altered or disappeared.
